Digital Notepad

My wife is looking for a piece of kit for her business in an area that we know little about. She needs to take notes and for them to be converted to text and stored, probably on a cloud-based storage. Ideally, it should be A4 and highly responsive, recognising her handwriting without the constant need to repair it. She also doesn't really want a device with an ongoing subscription.

She currently takes notes on paper but wants to move into the modern age with a high-quality, professional digital notepad so recommendations are very welcome.

A very politically active friend uses and swears by Remarkable. I’d love one if I had a need for it.

Another vote for Remarkable. I don’t own one yet, but I’ve used one over a couple of days at a series of meetings and it was quite something to have everything typed up automatically at the end of the day. Just need to find a way of loading the kindle app to it, and I’d be sold several times over.
I’ve tried an iPad and pen, but found the surface too smooth.
