  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

I’m new to these and am wondering if the optical can be pulled/reconnected whilst carrying a signal? I presume you can’t with rca coax? Then the coax on my Mojo is TRS: can use this live as if it was a headphone connection?
    Thanks

There is no harm in (dis)connecting any kind of digital link while active. Analogue connections, especially RCA, are prone to causing loud pops if hot-plugged, so that's best avoided.

I wouldn't. You'll get severe cracking if you disturb it while it's working.

I do it quite often - usually by mistake :D

Never noticed any ill effects whatsoever with either type.
(optical sockets can be notoriously wobbly either way...)
