DEQX pre-4 pre-8

I have been idly thinking about my dream pre, speccing it out in my mind, taking idea a stage further i tried to find something that matched.

Today i found it, the new DEQX pre-4, hate to think what the price will be but am sure even if i sell my graff and analogue eq boxes i won't come close.

Have to wait for the chinese dac manufactures to clone the concept with better performance than minidsp and dspeaker deliver

The Pre already exists (Topping Pre 90) though whether adding DSP internally would be seen as a marketable opportunity remains to be seen.
All these new Chinese devices are so small though that they take up little space, personally I prefer the DAC/DSP/Pre to be separate anyway.

Apart from having a volume control and dac i dont see much similarly to the deqx models

That pre 8 looks the business for anyone running active crossovers, wouldn't like to imagine the price though.

I run one of the current genration of DEQX processors, and the basic audio quality just as a dac/preamp, leaving aside the dsp, is superb.
