[FREE] Denon RCD-M40DAB (CD drawer faulty) ideal for a garage system

Mark Packer

All Rev'd up!
I have Denon RCD-M40DAB unit which has been in use in our kitchen. The CD drawer won't open, this is a known fault and although it may be a simple as changing a belt I have neither the time nor the inclanation to attempt to fix it. I've replaced it but it's too good to take to the tip.

Otherwise, it works well and would be an ideal radio/amp for a streamer (it has optical in) or for a teenager to plug their iPod into (it has USB in and analogue in too) etc. basically anywhere you don't need CD playback for. You'll need to buy a DAB/FM 50 Ohm aerial. Power lead and remote included.

Your's for the cost of postage and, if you choose a donation to PFM.

The belt will just have perused. A new belt, and should be good as gold

They’re only a few quid

I have a four year old DM41 with the same issue. The belt has been replaced but it is still very inconsistent. Most often trhe CD drawer fails to work. I understand it’s a known issue to which there is no obvious solution. The Bluetooth and radio work fine though. However I have since bought a replacement DM41from Richer Sounds with a 6 year warranty this time.
