Daryl Hunt the bass player with The Pogues (since Cait O'Riordan's departure during the Rum Sodomy and the Lash era) left us yesterday.

Always seemed like the young healthy one of the group. That's now Phil, Daryl and regular contributor Joe Strummer gone. Not to mention team members Joey Cashman, Tom McAnimal, Frank Murray etc etc

Shane's going to be the last man standing isn't he?

RIP, their xmas gig without shane in astoria in (i think) 94 or 95 was one of the best ever for me!

He was the roadie/guitar tech when Cait walked out. Filled in for a few gigs and got taken on permanently for the next 25 years. Can't say he didn't live the dream!

Can't pretend I've heard of him but always loved The Pogues music muchly since first hearing it in the apt setting of a New Age Traveller bus in the early hours of the morning after debauchery that The Pogues would have approved of.
