Just compared my new budget DAC against my main Audiolab MDAC. The USB input is quite competitive with the Audiolab; however, the optical and coax inputs are very poor. Is this common in lower priced DACs?
And- can anyone recommend an inexpensive DAC with very good optical input. I don't need USB.
