cyrus cd transformer hum

I have a pair of cyrus 3 and dad 3. when stacked the cd players transformer causes a slight hum through the speakers? is this a fault with the amp picking up the hum?

its not a loud hum, can hear it when I put my ear to the speaker. i've changed the. i/c and power cable etc. any thoughts?

It's not the cd players transformer causing the hum but more likely the amps transformer, avoid stacking them if you can!

well I opened up the cdp, and it just has a very small square tx, however when I opened up the amp, the transformer bolt was loose, so tightened up, the hum disappeared. must have come loose when in transit

Exactly the same happened to me with a Cyrus amp. Mind you, it can happen with many amps.
