As a frequent watcher of the Scotland team at the The Grange Edinburgh I'm afraid the result is all too familiar. I will follow both teams enthusiastically from now on. Scotland has never got this far before, and at least Ireland did not make it!

Quinton de Koek has gone against the cricket authorities in SA and refused to take a knee before the T20 game tonight. It will be interesting to see how this plays out …..
It is not clear why. Bavuma handled it well. Could be the end of de Kock playing for SA which will be a shame.
The optics of some taking the knee, and some not, were not good; but the SA authorities rushed a decision without talking it through with players.
It is possible he is taking a stand (ha) against the tokenism of it but he should realise that is not how most will see it.
Especially sensitive in SA of course.

I think it is optional for the PL footballers but mandatory for SA cricketers.

Only six weeks to go to the start of the Ashes. Here's hoping for a mimi ice age and another petrol shortage so that I have to WFH from 08th Dec until my xmas holiday.
