1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Here is a link to a similar dataset for France, but this is incidence rate rather than active cases so not directly comparable. I don't know how many weeks of incidence rate numbers one would need to integrate to get an approximate number of total cases. I can't find total case numbers in France, apart from hospitalization etc.
(Click on the pictures to navigate, tabs at the top, etc.)
Based on a quick look, the last wave impacted the Mediterranean arc most heavily (holiday season?) and people under 40 (less vaccinated this summer?). But even in those age groups, the incidence rate peaked at 300-600 in mid-July and dropped fairly rapidly from August onwards (i.e. well before school re-opened in early Sep). The British curves seem to have peaked later, but then they are showing total cases rather than new cases, and have not shown the same sort of decline. On the contrary, the 0-19 group continues to increase, and the 30-39 and 40-49 groups seem to have stabilized at a high level.

Got my booster today. Had to go to the 7th Circle Of Oldham to get it for some reason, but good to be done. Hopefully that’s me fairly safe until next year sometime…

PS It was at the hospital, all seemed pretty chaotic with much confusion (not an easy to find location within the hospital at all), queuing outside etc, though as ever staff nice, friendly and thoroughly competent.

That's great! Here in Meridiem Londinium they've only just got round to the flu jab - no word on covid boosters.

I'm waiting to be notified by my health board, not so much for the booster, though it's exactly 6 months to the day that I had my 2nd vaccine, but for the 3rd primary vaccine because I'm immunosuppressed. I'll take the booster though if I'm offered it first. A nasty cold type bug has managed to get through my anti-covid defenses and I've had a sore throat from hell for this past 2 weeks...a shot across the bow if ever there was one! I'm in Wales and considering the immunosuppressed are supposed to be in the top priority group I'm beginning to get concerned by how much longer it's going to be before I'm jabbed.

The puzzle is why so many are partly vaccinated, as Singapore was just after Israel in getting enough doses early. I read about a lot of anti-vax sentiment there and my suspicion is that many of these got scared into getting vaccinated recently after this community surge started. The downside of a country keeping almost case free is that a lot of the population feel safe to refuse. I suppose this is one reason why Aus and NZ also still have rather low rates, while Malaysia is now at 95% of adults at least one dose.

Yes, it’s a scandal that the immuno suppressed group are waiting so long. The instruction from the government went out on 02 Sep telling health authorities to identify those in need of a third primary jab. For weeks now, I have been calling my GP, calling my Consultant, calling the local CCG but was I was stonewalled at evert turn. The government then sent out a hastenner on 28 Sep which seems to have provoked them into action as myself and a few other folk I know with my condition have now received appointments for next week.

According to Our World In Data Singapore is 78/80% which is actually very low part vaccinated.
And Malaysia at 66/75% of whole population so lower than Singapore.
Oz and NZ are vaccinating rapidly after starting late for obvious reasons. There are loud anti-vaxxers in both but I expect they will both surpass UK rates by next month.

Similar situation here. There does appear to have been some serious communication problems with the 3rd primary vaccine roll out. I'm not aware of the Welsh gov sending out a hastenner, which doesn't surprise me. I last spoke with one of my specialist nurses less than a week ago and she did reassure me that action is now underway, sort of anyway, and my consultant will write a letter to the health board who will contact me when I'm due for a jab. Exactly which jab I'll get is up to him, apparently.

There's obviously been a serious hold up here involving some of the most vunerable people in the country yet barely a mention of it in the main media channels, that I've seen anyway, and that goes for the good old BBC too.

    Good luck with the jab.

I don't know how it works in the UK but here in France they won't administer a 3rd jab until 6 months has elapsed from the time of the 2nd jab.

We are are talking about the third jab as a PRIMARY dose for immuno suppressed people whose original vaccinations didn't work or were likely to have been ineffective- the minimum wait between jabs is eight weeks. For the remainder of the population requiring a BOOSTER the wait is a minimum of six months.

    Malaysia adults is 91/95% now.
Singapore I am not sure as they have far-far fewer under 18s (aging local population with small families and large numbers of foreign workers)
