Have just been listening to her new album and it's rather good, am a big fan of the pretenders but this is the first solo album of hers I've heard and like it a lot.

It's the only solo album she's ever done! The Sunday Times gave it the dud of the week award a couple of weeks ago.

She's way too old to be cutting about like a version of a 1970s Suzy Quattro.

I've not heard the record just the single which is shite but the ST's Culture mag, which is fantastic, frequently gets records wrong in the sense that they say it's a dud and then the record becomes a huge hit but then they're probably spot on just that the public seem to quite like crap music.

Weird, If I ever released a record I would want the ST's music critic to say that the record was pants

The first 2 Pretenders albums were very good though.
