On a first listen, album #1 is quite dull, album #2 more immediately interesting, and a bit closer in spirit to their earlier, pre-Nixon records. But I'd need to listen to it properly to judge.

It took me a long time to just stay awake for "Is a woman" so your initial view of #1 is encouraging
I still can't like "How I gave up smoking" so I guess I'll have to wait and see.
There was a review on Amazon which was quite favourable.
They're playing Shepaherd's Bush in March but I know no-one who wants to go along, the missus will only go if she can sit down Life and rock 'n' roll, eh?
