Choose three songs from the 80s

seagull

Seabird flavour member
The museum in Dorch currently have an exhibition about the 80s. This Saturday we are going to an event there being run by the local record shop. Everyone has been invited to bring along 2 or 3 songs from the 80s to be played on the night.

My choices are...

The Chameleons - Second Skin

My favourite band from the 80s and this is my favourite song from my favourite album by them.

Startled Insects - Overzoom

I was in a record shop in Bath flicking through the racks when this was played. I stopped and listened, it was like nothing I had ever heard before (or since). I had to buy it.

New Order - Blue Monday

This was the first song that Mrs seagull and I danced to, so it became "Our Tune"

What would be your three be?

Landscape ‘Einstein A Go-Go’

The Police ‘Don’t Stand So Close To Me’

Adventures of Stevie V ‘Dirty Cash’

Pet Shop Boys - Suburbia (12" version) - has to be the 12" version

New Order - Ceremomy

Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus

Great songs inspire great things... Personal Jesus as played by 500 Hungarians :D

In case one of the above three does not work I'm leaving this in as a substitute.

Simple Minds - New Gold Dream

Frankie Goes To Hollywood ‘Relax’

ZZ Top ‘Sharped Dressed Man’

George Benson ‘Never Give Up On A Good Thing’

Kajagoogoo - Too Shy

808 State - Pacific State

David Bowie (Pat Metheny Group) - This is not America

(I would have had Japan - Ghosts, but already gone)
