Chicken drumsticks on a Barbecue

Its just coagulated blood, sometimes happens, seems to be when the inside heats in conjunction with the outside, you'll see it when microwaving them (you animal) or for instance sous vide.

Personally I cook out chicken before hitting it on the barbie.

It's a bit of a chicken.
 
Yes. None of the chickens I've cut up before have had this bit. It looks like the underside has been sliced away, but that's how it grew. Here's another view, it was surrounded by that fatty jelly.

The fatty jelly is body fat, the object I don't know. Some sort of growth, but it looks healthy enough so not diseased.
