Late to the Tannoy party
Nice little tale here. My mum has always been music mad (the reason I’m called Jake is she went out with Paul Kossof, so I’m named after My Brother Jake, written by the band about him) but she hasn’t been able to listen since the death of both her father and my dad in quick succession. It just makes her too sad.
She’s been coming over to our place and listening to my system a bit recently, getting me put on her favourites. I suggested I build her a simple system, and to my delight she’s jumped the suggestion.
I’ve bought her some Q-acoustics 3010s, a Fosi audio Bluetooth amp and a Spotify subscription. It sounds pretty good! Now I just need some speaker cable.
Does anyone have some properly terminated banana plug to banana plug cables they might want to sell? 3m plus, no more than £30 ideally.
Alternatively, can anyone recommend a good budget new set? There’s some affordable ones on the bay, but I’ve no idea if they’re any good.
