If that doesn't work out I can thoroughly recommend Harman Kardon Nova stereo powered system (which have Bluetooth but I use as conventional powered speakers with a Beresford DAC) if it is still available in the US, or if not, the latest Citation units as smart speakers.

Headphones are probably the way to go for sq, but if you don't like wearing them look at other suggestions.
