channel imbalance

I have a Lentek integrated currently hooked up, and noticed at low levels one speaker being slightly louder than the other, to the extent that when one channel disappears, the louder one is still audible.

Swapping speakers round swaps the issue to the other channel, so it's the amp.

Is this normal, to be expected, or indicative of another issue?
A simple internal adjustment perhaps? Or not?!

Yes, pots (conductive film types) are generally very poorly matched right at the bottom of the travel.

No. You could replace the vol control but you have no guarantee that a replacement will be any better.
In line attenuators would allow you to use a higher vol control position away from the region of bad channel matching.
