Celestion SL6Si Bass driver surround replacement

I'm planning to replace the perished rubber surround on a spare drive unit.

The Celestion drive unit is unusual in that it does not feature a removable dust cover.

If this is of any interest I'll take photos and write up the repair process.

Forgot to mention that i'm also replacing the surrounds on a pair of KEF B110's, and the Audax bass and mids from a pair of SD Acoustics SD-1's. If there is any interest i'll do the same?

Interesting, never heard of the butyl B110 surround needing replaced(?)

The ones in question were constructor series and had a number of splits. I've seen a number of B110 units with cracks starting to form in the rubber. (Maybe due to UV exposure?)

Mark, apologies - I've only just seen this thread. It's an interesting speaker - I suspect lots of folk will be interested once you get going.
