CD Player with Bluetooth

A friend is asking for CD player recommendation which comes with Bluetooth function so that he can stream audio files from his phone to the CDP which will be connected to an integrated amp. What are the options? His budget is around £500 or less.

I’m only aware of one and that is this Yamaha machine. I don’t know how it sounds but it was something on the radar when I was looking for an all round solution for my cousin.

What we actually ended up buying was an Audiolab 8200cd and a Pro-Ject Bluetooth adapter with an spdif output and that works a treat, obviously the 8200 is used but we got that for £340 and the Bluetooth adapter was about £65. There are other CD players with digital inputs including some quad models that you should be able to find within budget.

If your friend hasn’t yet got an amp & Bluetooth is absolutely essential, he’s probably better off going for a mini system such as a Denon DM41 or Yamaha CRX N470.
