cd player advice sought - looking for a 2nd hand unit good quality reliable to play my small cd collection
running with naim amp ( 160) and linn speakers
current old marantz dying
anyone any reccomendations gratefully received

I recently acquired a Harman Kardon HD7625.

Sounds great to me, got a rubbish review in HFN, so should be cheap if you can find one.

Maybe a Meridian? Been very happy with a 507 I bought via PFM a couple of years ago, been playing it through a 32.5 or 72 with 160 lately and I like the balance of warmth and dynamics.

I have a Naim CD3.5 cw box you can have for £300.00 plus P&P

I forgot I had it until I saw this posting. It is in perfect condition.

Also you can add a Hicap on it at a later date.

The beauty of the old Meridian players is they can be used as is then upgraded via the dac of your choice when needed.

Seconded, get a Meridian 506 for that cash. 506.20 was £900 in its day and was absolutely brilliant. Not sure what they go for 2nd hand, but there was also a .24 (506 or 508) which cost more and was presumably better. Supremely well built too.
