Cassette Deck Recommendation

Agreed on the 1.5. It was the best deck I ever had, including some other Naks.
It murdered my 505, as much as I loved the auto reverse and even after being fettled, it had to go.
My 1.5 has also been moved on when my cassette recording days were done.

Really? You must have had a bad one (or an exceptional 1.5)
I had a 505 from new (bought from Bowers & Wilkins direct as they were the distributors, later on also a Dragon and a 1.5 but sold both as I always preferred the 505. Virtually indistinguishable from the Dragon to my ears :)
Only sold it about 5 years ago due to lack of use in the previous couple of years.

I've stuck with my 505, just love that auto reverse function & all those lovely buttons. It does sound different but I'm not to bothered, still sounds good. Requires a couple of belts last time I switched it on :( Rather let my CD 1 go. To many cassette decks :)
