Canon EOS M5

Hi Guys
I'm looking for a new camera as my DSLR is becoming problematic and I thought I may go mirrorless primarily due to size and weight. I don't have any preference in brand and my DSLR only has the kit lens.

Talking with a friend I found out that through his business he can buy a brand new Canon EOS M5 (actually any Canon equipment) with pretty large (40%) discount which pricked my interest.

Now reading the reviews there seems to be better cameras out there, not that its a bad camera. I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience with the camera? Would you buy a camera based purely on value for money over performance? I'm think that is whats driving me in the direction of the M5??
I guess what I'm saving on the camera could buy me some decent lenses!

I had a lady who came on a couple of my workshops with an M5 (upgraded from an M3), she was very happy with it, and it seemed a perfectly component camera. It certainly isn't a bad camera, but my advice would be to actually hold one and see how comfortable it is in your hands, if you are happy with the handling, then go for it, 40% is nothing to be sneezed at.
