  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Hi, could anyone please supply the measurement between the platter centre spindle and the centre of the motor adjustment screw.
I'm making a turntable based on 150 parts.
    Thanks in advance.

I'm away at the moment, but if no one else has responded by this time next week, I can do that then.

chartz If it’s broke fix it!

There is exactly 120 mm between motor pulley centre and platter spindle centre. That’s what you really need. Also, do get a genuine Thorens belt. The best would be a clutch pulley if you can get one: the belt will last for ages with it, like 15 years, just a couple of years without it – unless you help the platter at startup. And a Valhalla is a good idea too.
    Happy DIYing.

Thats fantastic, thanks chartz. You are right thats a better measuring point.
I can now get on with the paper template.
    I'll post my progress.

Not that you are necessarily attempting to build an actual TD150 from TD150 parts, however, some of the dimensions from the original Thorens mounting template may come in handy (sorry, its the only image I have).

    Hi thanks craig.
I am attempting a more skeletal plinth something along the lines of the Rega P8.
