I much doubt he bought them - to get to a collection this size I suspect you need to be well connected with the music industry people and basically have them send you a copy of "all" stuff released.

Guy with Audio Technica portable record player, headphones etc., pushing a trolley round a record shop.

"Yes I'll have that stack there, load it into the Chevvy"

Actually he did get loads of stock from Radio stations turfing out thier music libraries and promos from radio DJs etc.

Like me, I got dozens of record from Radio Solent record library, well I did before Avid records in Bournemouth closed down anyway.
