Aspiring to be a halfwit.
Every time I get on PFM an ad for Brennan jumps up.

Any previous experience of these amongst us? I’ve not heard anything about them at all.

It could be based on what you have looked at in the past.
Currently I get Victorian Plumbing (as opposed to Victoria Plumb).
It's a way for the site to earn a few shillings.
 
Ok, I've just tossed my cookies/cleared my cache (browser, not lunch), restarted my browser, searched for 'Victoria Plumb model', and I'm still getting frumpy kilt wearing models (although the one of them has a nicer face than before, and I'm having a lingering semi on for Ms. Plumb). Any suggestions?

No, I meant that after returning to pfm the ad banner was still showing frumpy women in kilt chic skirts.

No worries, as I am getting ad banners for AMSOIL Synthetic now. Not sure if this is meant to be related to my previous search history though.

They’ve been going for quite a few years now. Now selling a revised model.
 
Ok, I've just performed some scientific experiments, and the ad banners consistently appear to be either related to thread content, or they are random but based upon presumed aggregate demographics, rather than one's own search history.

A bit of a relief really, as the GF walked into the office here just shortly after I had been testing things out with the not so Victorian Plumb search.
 
Have come across Brennan ad's for years in newspapers etc. Cheap as chips, all in one and everything but the kitchen sink for under £50 by mail order. I think they must have expanded their range (well, I don't know if they do ranges yet, but if it's the same Brennan they're doing okay!)

I looked into their streamer/ripper a year or two back (out of sheer curiosity)
From the info on their website it appeared to be based around a Rasberry Pi with their custom add-ons.

The ripper was limited to flac or MP3 as far as I could find out, so I rapidly lost interest ....

They may have changed their approach since.
