this happened to me around 10 years ago as I took some photos of an accident and received money from various places likes newspapers etc... then a year later there was an inquest regarding the accident and the news (local I think) used one of my photos and I went livid..! I contacted them and they gave me the run around - one lady I was rang kept saying it's with the payments dept... I tracked down their number (in Manchester) and the guy explained that once they received the notification then they'd pay up within 48 hours, and he'd received nothing... I got paid in the end, was around 50 quid, but it was more the principle than anything else...
