Bowie repress?

What date is that one from? I assume somewhere between David Live and Stage...

Tony.

Tony.
Right you are.

Live at Nassau Coliseum N.Y. March 23, 1976.

Contains: Station to Station, Suffragette city, Fame, Word on a wing, Stay, Panic in Detroit, Changes, TVC 15, Diamond dogs, Rebel Rebel, Jean Genie.

Also Duet with Cher: Can you hear me, Young Americans. ( from the Cher show now. 23, 1975)

Recorded live on the Station to Station tour. Re recorded and mixed at Hansa by the wall Berlin.

I have it as a double Lp on the Audifön label Deutschland. Bought it 1976/77.

This is a superb live double album and two tracks from this concert; Stay and Word on a wing, appears on 1991 reissue of Station to Station

Quite agree with this estimation. Expresses an interest on Kabbalism somewhat ahead of other popsters, too.

True.

Bowie has confirmed that the title refers to the station of the Cross. This is a sequence of fourteen landmarks on Christ´s path to the cruxifiction. Bowie conflates the Stations of the Cross with the Sephiroth, the ten spheres of creation wich form the basis of the Kabbalah.

In the title song: "one magical moment from Kether to Malkuth"

But also in the same song references to Alesteir Crowley:

"making sure white stains" from Crowleys book , White stains.

But also a paraphrase to Cole Porter´s ´I get a kick out of you ;)

"It´s not the side-effects of the cocaine/I´m thinking that it must be love"

This song points to the next musical phase, Low.

I have heard the Thin White Duke off an Nth generation cassette copy.

The thing that really stands out in my memory is how hot the band was. Earl Slick in particular deserves special mention - the guitar wig-out at the start of the title track was excellent indeed.

Is it more readily obtainable now?
