BlackCircles for Tyres - Worth Trying ?

I can get about a 10% discount by using BlackCircles rather than a local specialist tyre garage. On the down side I read a lot of negative reviews and only 25% would recommend.

Anyone here tried them and if so would you recommend ?

I get a much bigger discount than 10% by booking in advance with kwik fit . done it a few times and saves a great deal of money

I've used them and got them fitted by an indy, it was worthwhile. Saved about £10 a corner. Sometimes you can do better still, ATS do tyres so cheap for my Jag that it's not worth ringing round, it's the price of 2 puncture repairs. Seriously. Over half worn and I wouldn't bother getting the puncture fixed.

A few years back I bought a pair of tyres via BlackCircles. The price was reasonable. The local agent fitted them ok. Afterward during the post fit chat the local agent suggested that next time to go to the local man directly (having been given the BC price) and he (the local man would better the price).

See who Blackcircles use for fitting, call them and ask for best price, will usually be lower as they don’t have to pay commission.

If you know someone who can fit them, order from the likes of Tyreleader or MyTyres. You’ll save a fortune.

My experience has been positive. They basically deliver the tyres you want to a local independent fitter of your choice. Ive used them three times without issue. Ive also had good service from tyresonthedrive, although these aren’t national soo you would need too check availability.

I have used Blackcircles, but make sure the local fitter is a tyre shop. First time I was sent to a general garage for fitting and ended up having them re-fitted after both tyres had an air leak.

I used them in Ireland and it was great - cheaper than any other price and fitted by a good tyre shop - just had to wait a few days for shipment

Good experience here, chose a premium dealer which is not far from me and they are a serious tyre specialist who cover lots of sports cars and odd sizes. I asked about going direct with them but they would not better the (pretty good) price on Black Circles. My car has largish wheels/tyres 225/18 and 245/18 but nothing outlandish.

Yes, the guy who fitted the most recent set for me was amazed how cheap they were, but he was happy to take the fitting fee which they paid him

I've never been able to better the black circles prices
Me too.

I love them, they're convenient, they have far wider choice than most bricks and mortar stores and the fitting centre is a 2min walk from my work. My experience is that they're careful with my rims too.

Don't forget you can usually get some cashback on their already competitive prices too.

I used them last year. Theirs was the best price for Michelin Cross Climates, and they used the dealer nearest my home, who I've frequently used direct over the years.
I was able to pick the day and time of my fitting, it all went very smoothly.

I've used them a few times. No issues. Good choice and prices and we can get them fitted at the local ATS tyre place who have done a good job of the fit and balancing.

there is a reason for that...Michelin I think bought Black Circles not so long ago. My fitter - who used to be a Black Circle agent says she could no longer match Black Circle price for Cross Climates

I believe there's also a link between BC and ATS. I used to get BC tyres fitted at my local ATS, but now I let them know the price and they beat it. The fitter said it makes no difference to them as they're the same company, or something similar. Either way, they generally have good prices

Had two tyres from them at Christmas. Very reasonably priced. My local ATS made a right mess up and I ended up collecting the wheels and putting them back on the car itself. I’d hit a pot hole and in laws of bangernomics a new alloy was only £30. I sent Blackcircles some feedback and received £30 back and a 10% off next time voucher. I was quite impressed and will use them again.

Cheaper costing tyres are fine, but I've had two bad experiences with fitters damaging the rims. Now I just ring round, get the best price, and then ring Jamie at Nottingham Alignment Services (for anyone in this neck of the woods). I've also found the Jaguar main dealer will price match any of these, so that's my other option - get them done whilst the XFS is being serviced (Jaguar also v competitive with this - after extensive ringing round).

Wife's JCW Mini goes to NAS.
