600 quid for a lump of rubber with a few ball bearings in it's arse and folk speak about cables as Foo. Must be one born every minute!

Oh my black ravioli has started so many rows over so many years now .caused huge animosity which is unwarrented . There are so many brands selling stuff

Just recently a dealer put some BR pads up on here and they sold in hours with a big queue .some do like them

Only tonight i asked a dealer on another forum about a specialised br product but yes i do agree they are very expensive and one must exercise judgement carefully and respect others views

Did it make any difference at all to the sound quality in your system?

Only weighs 195grams which surprises me. I'm willing to give things like this a chance but £750 is prohibitive. Putting any sort of object on the spindle of your turntable is going to effect the sound. It's up to the listener to decide if it was a positive difference and enough so to justify its cost.
If they cost 10 times less I bet they'd sell 100 times more, just from peoples curiosity alone.

Agreed £ 750 is a lot .
There seems to be quite a lot going on in the world of turntable pucks right now , the Origin Live Gravity One Record Weight looks interesting . Though why they call it a Record weight when it weighs a quite insignificant 67 grams is beyond me , nicely made engineered even with some of what looks like their mat material and bamboo components , £210

Anyone tried one ?

“Black Ravioli says the Record Ground specifically reduces this confusion, disorder, and randomness from the record surface during replay.”
hi-fi+

“The Record Ground constrains the rate of change of the energy, thereby continuing its effect on the signal in real time”

Ahh, just leave enough FOMO nagging doubt to know someone will bite, whatever the cost and supposed claims.

Here's the menu for a record weight clamp. Threaded or not, spindle grabbing or loose fitted, heavy or light, rigid or flexible, or any mix thereof.

There's no special sauce..

I use one. I think worth trying - seems to bring a bit more composure and clarity. As with many of these things there are mixed opinions out there.

Hi Vinylmonkey
Can you tell me which turntable you use ?

Tangerine Audio have their new Evenstar puck which also has it's supporters

They do have a returns policy at BR. Can’t say fairer than that. They are expensive though. Value can only really be decided through listening on your own system.

It's like random words ...

This is from the Signal Ground v2 blurb.

The single Signal Ground v2 unit has one input via a locking BNC socket. The input is terminated in a dissipation volume. Connection can be made from analogue, digital or earth source into the volume. A lead with various equipment plug options are supplied. The leads are designed to optimise the transfer of energy. They are terminated to maintain their designed characteristic and should not be altered in length.
