I didn't go last year but heard it was half empty. It seems to have lost its way since being taken over by Festival Republic. It's gone mainstream, thereby alienating many of those of who have been loyal to the Big Chill and all it stood for. They say they are planning to hold a festival in 2013 but I wonder...
I also wonder whether other festivals will follow? Surely there are too many music festivals fighting for the same punters who like mainstream rock 'n' pop. On the other hand, the smaller, "boutique" festivals seem to be doing rather well.
