Best tracks - acoustic guitar

Anything by Richard Thompson. There's a great song on a live bootleg "My Daddy Is A Mummy" that he wrote for his son's then primary school. It makes me smile every time I hear it, though it wouldn't be the same without his introduction.

Gerardo Nunez (Flamenco) plus many others.Tomatito....Paco De Lucia.... Coincidentally 'Son de la Frontera' is playing as I type, which is perfect (it has a Son guitar too)
Pat Metheny "One quiet night'.

Bert Jansch and John Renbourn Bert And John really takes some beating both from a playing and recording perspective. No idea what the digital is like, but the original Transatlantic vinyl is just stunning!

PS Standard audiophile choice is Friday Night In San Francisco by John McLaughlin, Al DiMeola and Paco DeLuca, and deservedly so in many respects. I’ve got some fancy audiophile cut of this which really is rather wonderful.

Another Bluegrass fave on heavy rotation right now is Del McCoury's electrifying album 'The Company We Keep'. Great acoustic recording with amazing harmony vocals.

Spacemen 3 - Perfect Prescription.

Much of this album has acoustic guitars and is an absolute must listen. My favourite album of all time!

Anthony Philips...Private Parts and Pieces (great 12 string stuff on there)
ELO first album ..."First Movement (jumping biz) Roy Wood on acoustic...bit classical gas style.

Nils lofgren playing 'Keith don't go' live from the Acoustic live album.
Or Derrin Nauendorf playing 'leave me tonight' from the live at the boardwalk album.
Both fantastic tracks.
