My favourite city and until I moved out to Hangzhou I would visit Berlin at least three times a year. Mitte and Kreuzberg are where it's at. The bars mentioned upthread are good....also check out Betty F**K, Meine Haus am See, Keyser Soze. Monsieur Vuong is a great Vietnaese place near Alex. The absinthe Depot is really photogenic too. For Jazz, beer and snacks A-Trane in Savignyplatz and B-flat wherever it has relocated are super.

If you like your nose bleed techno try Tresor and Berghain....I love them and possibly Berlin is one of the few places that doesn't bat an eyelid when I go clubbing at close to 60!

Enjoy....as I said it is a truly wonderful place.

Back now. Had a grand time despite a horrible head cold, which sadly took the enthusiasm for photography away a bit. I had plans to do so much more but we barely scratched the surface, though thoroughly enjoyed what we did do. Here's a wee sample of the snaps I did take.
