1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Pet Shop Boys - Being Boring, though largely because it got played at two friend’s funerals in the same summer.

My wife Joanne died suddenly and traumatically aged just 55 last May.
I chose The Beatles "The Long and Winding Road" as the final music at her funeral. This song will never fail to bring me to tears. As will the song "Joanne" by Lady Gaga.

I couldn't remember Nimrod (I'm very much a fair weather classical fan - love it when I hear it, but only bring out a CD once a year). My word! Nimrod (now I recognise it of course) got me choked up within seconds - how can music do that - and I' m watching youtube on a tablet! I guess that's the magic that keeps us in this hobby :)

Any recommended CDs (or hybrid SACD) with Nimrod on?

Not my usual cup of tea but the Dutch band HAEVN - The Sea. I heard it being played at a hifi show and bought it that day from Amazon. It's also arguably the best sounding piece of vinyl I own.
