avi nuneutron / sheane phase 2 amp suitability

Have any members run AVI neutrons (nuneutrons) through a Shearne Phase 2
integrated. I own this amp and tho its rated at 50w into 8ohm i believe this may be conservative.

Have opportunity to obtain some avi nuneutrons and would like to know if amp is up for it. The avi nuneutrons rated at 30 - 150 by AVI but would be interested to try and get behind the numbers.

NuNeutrons were really excellent little speakers, they won quite a few awards and we sold thousands and thousands of pairs.

It's the music that needs the power rather than speakers. Most of the time you're listening to a fraction of a Watt, but regularly interspersed with peaks that run into hundreds, which is why more powerful amps always sound more clear and control the bass better. They are coping with these peaks without clipping.

However, at normal domestic listening levels you should get reasonable results from a good 50 Watt Amp.

We have Neutron IVs driven by an 18w Nait 2 and it certainly doesn't appear to be having any difficulty driving them to sensible in-room levels.
