Hi,

Advice required. I have the opportunity of auditioning/buying a used pair of Ascendants in good condition. The buyer cannot give me their age as he bought them used. I have the serial numbers. Should I contact the manufacturer for their age before committing myself?

If they sound fine, they probably are so the age is immaterial.

Have/were they made for a long time? If yes, surely age is relevant?

Nope they didn't even have a ten years product life. The age of modern drive units is utterly immaterial.
