One of Steve Harley's best songs (albeit, as singer only) is The Voice from I, Robot by the Alan Parsons Project. Just brilliant!

I also really like Valentine from Boys and Girls by Bryan Ferry. If you can't tell whose magic fingerprints are all over this one then you don't know music!

On a slight tangent, for many years I’d always assumed it was Lowell George’s vocals on SW5 from Mick Taylor’s 1979 eponymous solo album. George does appear on the album but on guitar only. I only realised recently that it was Taylor’s vocals. He does do a mean Lowell George impersonation.
