Are classical music CD's getting expensive ?

I don't buy a lot of classical, and quite a while since my last one.
I was surprised when looking for a decent recording of Mahler 4 (my wife wants it) to see that prices are around £15 for a CD.
Is this normal nowadays, or is there something special about the Mahler (Budapest Festival Orchestra recording is the one I was recommended).

The bargains are always in vintage recordings, e.g. £24 buys you the complete Bernstein Mahler cycle (link).

Looks like too late, but the best performance I have heard of Mahler 4 is this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000026FK5/?tag=pinkfishmedia-21

Link says £10.49 for a new CD. Curiously the prices of the second-hand ones varies between the orignal page I found on Amazon, and this link. The original page lists a secondhand one for as little as £1.26, for which I'd certainly take a punt for such a great performance.

Generally big box sets are fantastically good value, single CDs less so.

I seem to remember that they were over £10 in the mid 80s which would be about £30 in current terms. How times change!
