Hello all.
Off the back of much good things being said on a few forums I managed to get one of these for around a hundred notes second hand on eBay. I replaced the stock Chinese tunes with the ubiquitous GE JAN 5670 and a Winged C and so far I’m really very impressed with the sound, especially for what I payed, and bearing in mind that replacing the budget capacitors etc will improve things further and there are likely better sounding tubes I could use.
So I’m wondering if I might find anyone in here who could report on their results with finding good sounding tubes and also if anyone has had good success changing caps or any advice and discussion on mods in general would be great!
