Amusing letter to EMI/Sex Pistols A&R man

I'm more interested to hear the equally-memorable and genre-shifting Stagg/Strapps' equivalent of, say, "God Save the Queen", "Pretty Vacant" or "Anarchy In the UK" -- not too difficult if the Pistols really were so untalented.

I never took to the wall of guitars job Chris Thomas did on "Never mind the Bollocks" though. The Spunk bootleg was, I reckon, more representative

Ross, was your anger purely aimed at the Pistols or at punk / new-wave in general, e.g. how did you feel about Harvest signing the ever-wonderful Wire?

Tony.

Was about to ask if the Mike Thorne mentioned was the Wire producer/collaborator...

I can imagine people being pissed off, right or wrong, about the Pistols, but Wire were a very different kettle of fish.
