Amplifier service

I have a Sony TA-F6B amplifier which requires a service.
Some of the switches and controls are intermittent / noisy.
As this is a trustworthy Forum, can members recommend someone ?
Location: Nr. Oxford.
Many thanks.
M Miles.

If the only problems are those you mention, I'd suggest you do it yourself. Open it up, get a can of contact cleaner, there are specific kinds that include a lubricant for "knob" potentiometers and sliding controls. Try and spray as deep into them as you can to reach the sliding contacts and work whatever it is back and forth. Wait a few minutes for the inflammable solvents to evaporate and then switch on and see if there is any improvement. Repeat if necessary.

Thank you.
I will certainly try that.

I treated the controls/switches with Servisol.
There are definitely improvements in the action of them.
Thanks.
M Miles.

Did it sort out the noise when turning the knobs?
I have a Sony from the same era and it has the same problems.
