Just listening to Brian Ferry's version on Dylanesque and realising I've no clue what this song is about. I love it, it seems to have some wistful sense of regret tinged with hope ( can I get a job as a reviewer please????).

Is it just icon iconic because of Jimmy's phrasing of "There must be some way out of here..."
