I found a reasonably cheap, LP, new copy of Afrique Victime on Discogs - shoud be excellent based on the videos linked to in the review. The rest seem pretty much downloads only.

I'm listening to Mdou Moctar Afrique Victime on CD now. Bought it in HMV Liverpool this afternoon. First time I've been in a big city for well over a year.

Strangely, Bandcamp is by far the best source of information about release formats, if the music is available via Bandcamp.

That is something of an understatement

It arrived a short while ago and it has put a big grin on my face from the very first few notes. The recording itself may be a bit odd, quickly got used-to though, but that may be intended anyway.

Anyone know what else is worth the ££ on LP? (If there is anything else on record.)

Sad that this thread has only got a total of 120 views as I write, where everyone is supposedly music-lovers. Weird - a lot of people are missing a lot of excellent music.

I only have Afelan on vinyl. It's made up of raw/lo-fi live recordings which I think are great and really atmospheric but may not be to everyone's taste (there's a rip on YouTube if anyone wants to check).
