Fascinating, I’d never even heard of those (I do have the Ken Kessler Quad book and one would expect them to be documented, but I can’t recall seeing a photo). Shame about the paint job, but I guess they could be restored. I wonder what speaker is in them? I don’t think Quad ever made a conventional moving coil driver themselves.

The price for the Manzoni artist excrement is an insane bargain - but it’s obviously not an original piece. One of the edition sold for 275000 euros at Sothebys fairly recently. It’s an important piece of modernist Italian art history - regardless of whether we might think it’s ridiculous.
