A&R arcam one monitors

Hello DIY fish. A mate of mine has a pair of these stand mounts. He thinks the tweeters have gone.
Is there anything he needs to check to confirm that? Are they worth repairing and If so what tweeters does he need to buy and where from?

I suggest you start by removing the tweeters and then measuring resistance between the terminals. This will tell you if the voicecoil has gone open circuit.

Also worth checking if it's a dried up ferrofluid problem.

The woofers came from Elac and the tweeters were special A&R modded 25mm soft dome unit from Peerless. I should imagine there won't be any exact matches anymore except from another Arcam speaker box. I can send a pdf copy of the review in HiFi Answers 1984 if you pfm me.
