A dilemma of Vinyl + CDs vs streaming into old age.....

whats the full name and make of the Zen for an ebay search?

Innous Zen media player. I got lucky with the one I bought it's a two TB version but it's quite old, 2015 I think however it went back to Innuous last year and had the OS upgraded to the latest version, according to the seller.

There's an even older version of the Zen, it's not called Innous though can't recall the name of it now maybe someone will post it.

You use a web page or an app on your phone.

For the Zen player that I have there's two web pages, one page is for the operating system which you can use to view the library and make changes to how the Zen is set up and you can play/stream music from that page too but there's also a Logitech Media webpage that you use for selecting music and playing it or streaming it.

It really is quite simple.

I use the iPeng app on my iPhone which is even easier and more convenient plus with that app you can use the iPhone to stream music from the iPhone or the Zen media player to separate sources so for example I can stream music (say a Bowie album for example) from the ipeng app on the iPhone to a Bose mini link speaker in the kitchen and I can also, at the same time, stream different music from the Zen media player (internet radio for example) to my amp and also via the iPeng app on my iPhone.

The iPeng app displays all of the media players that you are using which in my case is the Zen Music Server and I can select music from the Zen Music player or iPhone or both and there's also mySqueezebox.com and my MacBook pro which are another two media players displayed on the Ipeng app on my iPhone.

The Zen OS web page screenshot is at the bottom of the link.

first, make you sure you reach old age with a ststem that you can easily use and that you understand. It doesn't matter much what it is as long as you USE it, so plan for that IMO. As for inheritance, we have decided to be sensible about that kind of stuff and flog it all a few years before they drag us off to the dribble home. We each nave 500 favourites on our phones and then all you need is ear phones and a friendly nurse....'Look Joan...he's singing along!...oh, damn...mop someone' :)
