80s 12" singles

Around 1979, I bought the 12" vinyl "Le Freak" from a newsagent that doubled as a record store upstairs (as they often did in ye olde days).
I always thought it surreal that, out of all the locations the genius Nile Rodgers could have played in Scotland, one he chose was in the lochside park only a few hundred metres from that newsagent. Still there, but the upstairs record shop went decades ago.)

Starting to work through a few of my collection

New Order-Ceremony . First Version
OMD - Souvenir 10"
OMD - Talking Loud and Clear, but the B side Julia's Song which is a two different mix's compared to the one on Junk Culture.
Soft Cell- Say Hello, Wave Goodbye
ABC - The Look of Love Parts One, Two, Three and Four
S'Express - Theme from S'Express. Also love the cut-away of a Class 56 loco on the cover.

Plenty of 80's 12"s here, sadly all in crates and somewhat inaccessible right now. Perhaps I might play the below when I get it all sorted...

Hot Water (mastermix) - Level 42
Single Life - Cameo
Radio Musicola - Nik Kershaw
Warning SIgn - Nick Heyward
Quadrastate - 808 State

Loads of great songs in this thread - here are some of my early additions for 12"ers (I might add more)

Visage - Night Train is quite a banging 12"
Not much mention of Spandau Ballet or Duran Duran 12"s here. I like Spandau Ballet Chant No.1 12"

Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough
Jacksons - Walk Right Now
Chic - Good Times
The Jam - Precious (AA side of Town Called Malice but there's a European maxi single long version)

Soft Cell - What!

If we talk about guilty pleasures - Have a listen to Harold Faltermeyer 12"s and Falco!

The Cure - inbetween days, I shared a flat as a student with someone who played the only that track off the album incessantly years later I saw the 12 inch single in a secondhand stall, and I couldn't help myself.

Mine too, there’s a 7 min version out there on a promo

I've got the yellow 12 and the ordinary black
vinyl 12 with insert - Fabulous and the definitive version.
I remember being disappointed at the Soul Mining version when I bought the LP.
