Hi
just got hold of 25 x 2sk209gr mine came singles and not on a tape but i still managed to get 4x good matches they are supposed to be quite tight off the reel
The graphs show an original toshiba 2sk170bl V/S 2x 2sk209gr
also the 4x doubles look quite a good match
wonder if they could replace 2sk170b in most applications
Whats your thoughts chaps ?

Looks like you have 209GRs right at the top end of the spec and 170BL right at the bottom = very well matched.
They will work fine as long as you observe the max dissipation of the little SOTs.

So similar that I suspect that at least one batch is remarked. The original parts might have been selections from the same die process, but these are spot on.

Great stuff:) There are a few parts that work well for similar jobs as the 2Sk170 in fact. getting decent N and P channel complementary pairs with all that lovely transconductance is the challenge!

I suspect that i will not get the chance to design with a P channel JFET again, they have gone the way of the dodo.

I still design with them but nowhere near as much as I would if complementary high transconductance types were still available (other than the Linear Systems ones which I won't touch with a barge pole).
