Hello, I have an Audio Technica VM95ml, my phono stage is 100pf but my interconnect is the AT that came with my turntable so adds about another 180pf and with tonearm wiring probably takes it up to over 300pf, would a change of interconnect make much difference.
There is nothing wrong with the sound but if I can gain anymore for not much money that would be a bonus, if not I'll buy more albums instead.
Stay safe everyone.

If its not sounding too bright and thin to you I’d not bother. If however it’s highlighting surface noise, sounds over-prominent on sibilance and drags music around by the hi-hats then yes, I’d back it off a bit with a low capacitance cable.
