Must have (but won't get played much):

The residents "Third Reich 'n' Roll"

Not much gets played every week, but a few stalwarts often on the deck:

Dylan: "Nashville Skyline"
Kraftwerk: "Radioactivity" (nice German pressing)
A Tibetan singing bowls thing - no tune, no rhythm, just glorious, pulsing, ringing sound. This is on CD unfortunately.
JJ Cale: "Really" (or other, fairly interchangeable)

It's not ten. Sorry.

Stone Roses - Stone Roses
Prefab Sprout - Swoon
Thomas Dolby - The Flat Earth
Pixies - Surfer Rosa/C'mon Pilgrim
Blur - Blur (weird, never liked them before this, but then, never did Peel)
Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed
Moby - Play (I know, did get played to death, but was/is great)
Doves - The Last Broadcast
Radiohead - OK Computer (ducks!)
David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars

just my thoughts

Michael
The Flat Earth by Thomas Dolby, agreed! Classic record

....yeah -- i agree, people are basically getting sick of the same old rock/hip-hop/r&b bullsh*t..... and there is just this big upsurge from a new style coming out of Europe -- best place i've found it so far is a compilation series called 'euro club hits' on itunes -- or check this link: http://electricfilebox.com/tracks

:rolleyes::cool::p ;)

bugger off wiith the queen are crap line - ok they were crao after the 80's but there are some seriously good anf fun songs on earlier albums and they were excellent live

I do appreciate there are quite a few who would agree with you though on the no no no thing
I think they were OK up to A Night At The Opera, and then turned into utter complete crap.

This gets harder the more lists I read.... too many great albums out there so I've left out all the really obvious ones like Rubber Soul and Live at Leeds

Slint / Spiderland
Disco Inferno / DI Go Pop (I think this is still available on CD)
Bark Psychosis / Hex
Neu! / Neu!
John Coltrane / Blue Train
Pentangle / Pentangle

Isn't that a good thing?

of course. i was bastardizing some bottle rocket's lyrics:

a $1000 dollar car ain't gonna roll
until you put another $1000 in the hole
sink your money in it, and there you are
the owner of a $2000 $1000 car.
