Hi there, I'm not sure if I've used the right forum or not but the nakamichi 530 reciever in question seems fairly retro... Please point me in the right direction if not.
I've just recently been given this reciever along with a very nice set of spendor BC1 speakers, I think they'd been stored in a loft for a couple of years before being given to me. Plugged everything in as well as I know how and they sounded great.
Since that first day I've found that when I first turn on the amp everything works great for a few minutes and then the right speaker goes very quiet. It is still audible and when turned up sounds good quality but is massively quieter than the left. I've played with different speaker cable, switching speakers etc so am no certain the amp is at fault. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this problem and what I can try next? I'm a bit of a noobie with this kind of thing so begginner lingo would be appreciated!
