That's a shame, I hoped it was going to be a Tiger, the one where you have to spin up a huge flywheel for a couple of minutes and then drop in a clutch for starting. I never understood why they didn't take the ship engine approach and just have a little stationary engine that you can pop off and use for starting.

Just seen this....................

There were several variants of the Merlin, but it ceases to surprise me how many must be out there still. Although a huge number were made, not least in the US.
It must be all of 15 years ago now, but an American boat-maker was offering a limited run of 10? 20? more? boats with single? probably double, Merlins. I don't know enough about boats to suggest what type they were, but they were very obviously FAST.....................
